Welcome Back.....

Maybe vacations are a little overrated when you come back to a scan pile like this....

Nah! I'd do it again (and I will)! :)

Yesterday Uli invited me to go to "Linner" at The Happy Sumo! We haven't seen each other in quite a while so we had a good time catching up on everything and laughing while enjoying some delicious food!

We had a great time! I'm so glad I'm so lucky to have such an awesome mother-in-law! :)

I just had to include some neat pictures I took on the way home (well I think they're neat, and since this is my blog.....here they are!)!

Visit from a Cutie Pie!

Suzanna and her mom were headed to St. George with this little cutie for the weekend. Since it was on the way, they stopped for a bit so we could visit! At first Berlin didn't recognize us so she was fussy but after a quick diaper change and a bit to eat she was all smiles! We can't believe how much she has grown since the last time we spent time with her! She can already feed herself!

Now she pulls herself up with no problems and she can crawl like nobody's business! And her two bottom teeth?! So cute! We took some cute video of her being chatty and crawling around everywhere so we can remember when she's older!

I know I've said it a lot but we sure do miss seeing this little cutie! :)

Fuji House

Today we decided to reward ourselves for all the hard work we'd put into the hunt! What better reward than some delicious food from "Fuji House"?!

The pictures seriously don't do this food justice (and I'll even admit that the picture makes my "Vegas Roll" look kinda nasty, but it's seriously amazingly delicious!)! I could eat here every day and not get sick of it! Okay maybe not every day but I think my point has been proven! :)

Deer Camp Recon

Yesterday we did some recon hiking to see which way we want to pack in for our hunt. Oh man let me tell you, I'm glad we are going a different route because where we went yesterday was steep and tough. I didn't even have a backpack on and we only hiked half of the way we would for the real thing and I thought I was going to die! Seriously what is the point of working out if it doesn't help out at all in real life when you need it?! Okay I'll step down off my soap box now....*kerplunk*!

We did have some gorgeous views on the way up though!

Part way up we watched a helicopter make a few trips from the bottom of the canyon to the top of a peak dropping off what we assumed to be sheep. We of course don't know for sure but it was kinda neat to watch!

Finally made it to the top! Don't let my smile deceive you, while I was happy to know we'd made it as far as we planned to go, I was exhausted, my legs wanted to quit, and I wanted to just float in a cold swimming pool with an ice cold lemonade!

We did rest for about 1/2 hour and then we headed back down. Almost 3 hours is how long it took us to get up there and it took less than 45 minutes to get down!! Marcel and Manny would've made it up much faster if they didn't have to keep stopping for me. They were very patient with me though so I didn't feel so bad!

I'm even more nervous for Friday to get here now that it's more real how hard this will be. It is going to be so worth it though!! I hope...!

CrAsH, BANG, SmAsH

It was already that time of year again! The Fair! Manuel came down for the weekend so we headed over to check out the ATV Rodeo Friday night to pass some time.

While there we strolled over to look at some of the animals!

They always crack us up! There are some really goofy looking critters that get entered (minus the Peacock. It was beautiful and won best in the show!)!

The next day we just lounged around the house until it was time to leave for the Derby! The boys played some x-box while Toby and I snoozed!

The derby this year was SO awesome! There were so many more cars and the derby broke the record by having 9,000 people there!! Best derby by far!

Suzanna and Berlin came down to watch the derby with some friends so we got to visit for a minute! Berlin was really hesitant about us because she hasn't seen us in quite a while (*tear*) but Suzanna said she's teething some more so I'm going to go with that! We sure do miss this little cutie!

They added a Truck Derby this year which was pretty awesome! We had one come through the tires on our side so that was a bit scary! You can't see it in the picture but it isn't too far from the Fire Engine! INTENSE! :)

The final round was so awesome! The two final cars that were left really gave it their all to take out each other! It was fantastic! The winning car was our favorite from it's first round. Very aggressive driver and great driving skills (see top "winner winner" picture)!

This is by far my favorite small town, red neck pass time! I would love to try Powder-Puff at least once in my life! We'll see....it's on my bucket list! Can't wait for next year!

Close encounter of the Mooing variety!

To scout yesterday we hiked a little for a different view of the mountain.

After a little while we were invaded by these...

One of them inched closer,

and closer,

until we could almost touch it!

We learned a little bit of their language and we were able to MoO back and forth a few times! You can only imagine! ;)

After a little bit longer we had an infiltration...

She wanted some of that yummy salt lick the cows were hogging, I don't blame her, and she brought a friend!

We ended up escaping the invasion unscathed but it was close! Phew!

As you can see I didn't get much scouting done on my end but I did spot 2 deer up close!

Here's proof that I was present for the fiasco! Marcel isn't as good at documenting as I am! ;)
