Moving Day!

Yesterday we helped Uli move from Payson to her new home in Lehi.
Quite a few men from her Payson Ward showed up to help so we got packed up pretty quick!
Once we got to Lehi though, that was another story. There were only 5 of us (Me, Marcel, Manuel, Uli, and Dennis) but we hustled our little tails off and got everything unloaded quicker than I thought we would!
Uli and Manuel are now living with her friend Lee in this cute house in a nice neighborhood and her commute to work has been cut in half! We're sad that they live so much farther away but this is going to be really good for them. So happy for them and this new adventure!
^Love them!^
We're looking forward to future visits to Lehi!

Look who got his braces off today!

He looks so much more grown up and so handsome! I'm not sure how I feel about that....! Love this {not so little} guy!

23!

Friday I came home for lunch to find these on the coffee table! Marcel couldn't find a big enough vase to fit them in so he settled for the next best thing!
I think they're perfect! And I smile every time I look at them :)! He picked them up on his way home from work since that was the only time he'd be able to get them without me being with him.

Saturday I got up early to go to the gym then came home to get ready. We lazed about the house for the first part of the morning (waiting for a guy to call us about buying the Mountaineer) then headed north for a birthday outing. We started off at Home Depot to get some stuff for a gate and then headed to Plato's Closet to use the gift card Uli had given me last year! If you've never been to this place let me explain, you have to have patience. It's all name brand clothing but there is tons of stuff and no 2 things are alike (kinda like going to Ross or somewhere like that). You can find some really cute stuff but like I said, you have to have patience to go through everything! We ended up getting a shirt, vest, and pair of jeans for me and a pair of jeans for Marcel all for only $45 ($15 after the gift card)! Heck yes for good savings!
Then we headed out in search of material to make new camper curtains (Marcel tried washing the ones that came in it and they came out of the washer shredded!). We found the perfect material at Walmart believe it or not (love that store no matter what people say about it!), had to hide it until we could come back later for it because we were going to be late for our Tucano's dinner reservations and couldn't find anyone to cut it for us, then flew to Tucano's making sure to hit Every.Single.Stop light in Provo!! We ended up making it just in time and were seated immediately (not bad at all for dinner time on a Saturday)! Uli and Manuel joined us for the delicious feast that is always bound to be had when eating at Tucano's and we had a great time!
I even knew our cute little waitress, Valerie Demill (we grew up in Moroni together, she's Jes's age!)! She took great care of us! After we were all stuffed to the brim Valerie made sure that I got my birthday dance in. There were a few of us celebrating birthdays in the area we were sitting so we were each given an instrument to make noise with as the waiters sang! Marcel made sure to get pictures (**insert eye roll**)! :)
Once my little jig was over we went back to Walmart for material, made a quick stop in Payson to pick up stuff from Uli's (she gave me some cute new scrubs), and then headed home to slip slowly into our food coma's!
I woke up on Sunday to Marcel nudging my shoulder and opened my eyes to see him holding a tray with some yummy breakfast for me to eat in bed! He's so sweet!
We spent a few hours being lazy (that seems to be a major theme in this weekend!) and then got ready and headed to Moroni! My mom had been telling me how excited she's been for the cake she was making so when we got there and I saw this waiting on the counter
I was a little confused! Perhaps the surprise was under the beautiful pink frosting? I wasn't sure. I did my best to hide my confusion and avoided really saying anything about it! Soon after we got there my mom got home from church and my dad from work. My mom explained that the cake she had attempted to make was a dismal failure so this is what was left. She didn't want to talk about it so my imagination was trying to picture what happened to end in this. Well I love my mom to death and her efforts weren't going to go unappreciated by me so I just told her not to worry about it and that this cake was perfect! After a delicious Shepherd's Pie dinner it was time for the...er...cake! My mom was about to light the candle's when she remembered something. She blew out the match and instructed Jes to go get "that thing" out of the closet. That's when the light bulb went on in my brain. My mother, the perfectionist/Superhero mom who would never EVER allow this to be the cake presented as something she created would have tried again had her first attempt failed. This was not the cake, obviously!
"The real cake is in the closet isn't it!" I accused and with that my mom lost it! She started laughing and then Jes came around the corner with the cutest cake ever!
Yep, she got me good! They got me some way cute workout clothes and I'm way excited to wear them! After spending some time hanging out
we headed home. Suzanna and Berlin even stopped by to say happy birthday and give me a gift! I have such a great family! We ended the night watching "The girl with the Dragon Tattoo" which was...different. We liked it but it definitely isn't for everyone.
Overall it was a great weekend! Thanks everyone for the wonderful birthday wishes! I feel so loved!
