This last weekend we were able to take another trip to Vegas and we had a BLAST! With that extra little Miata that came with the Rx8, Marcel sold it so we had some extra play money!
Our first day we did some shopping and picked up our tickets for Criss Angel's show!

The second day we went to Madame Tussuad's Wax Museum which was awesome! It is crazy how real they look!
Then we went bowling with Nadine & Joel (they had to work every night while we were there so we didn't get to see them much). I did TERRIBLE! Seriously like record book bad, but everyone else did great! We didn't get any pictures but it was fun to spend some time with them!
After bowling we did a 'buffet stuff-your-face-&-dash' then headed to "BELIEVE"!! It was such an amazing show! We were totally MiNdFrEaKeD! I can't believe some of the illusions he does! It's just awesome! We're lame and didn't take any pictures, but to be fair we would've been kicked out if we were caught taking any so there ya go. However, thanks to this magical thing called "Internet" I was able to snag a few!
The next morning we headed down to check out "Pawn Stars" pawn shop and can I just say, not that great. It was WAY smaller than it appears on TV and while there was some neat stuff to look at most of it was jewelry (like wedding rings and watches, nothing cool). We weren't in there very long but now we can say we've been there I guess! I'll just stick with watching it on TV! Across the street we found some crude humor...you've been warned!
After spending some time wandering around Circus Circus and watching an awesome balancing act, we headed to the Stratosphere to go on the rides!
I have one word to describe how I felt about this little adventure...TERRIFIED!! Seriously! The view from all the way up there was incredible but it was SO high up!
When we finally went outside I couldn't breath properly for a few minutes because of my fear! It sounds dramatic but if you've been up there, you know exactly what I'm talking about!

The first ride we went on was called "Insanity" for good reason! You sit in this chair, they lower the rails and you move out to where you're hovering over the edge of the building, 866" above the ground!! I kept telling Marcel to take me back because I was SO scared! There were 2 Japanese guys on the ride with us (it wasn't very busy) and they were laughing at my freak outs! Well I thought that going over the edge was bad enough but then you start spinning and the force of the spinning makes your seat tip so your facing the ground. Here is where I almost passed out. I honestly thought I wasn't going to make it! But the spinning stopped and we were brought back to the building where I wanted to kiss the ground! I honestly didn't know I was afraid of heights but I now know that I am! However, that's high enough that I think the people who aren't afraid of heights would be afraid!
The next ride was the "X Scream", & believe me I did a whole lot of that! We were the only 2 on this one so we got the front seat, which just so happens to be the scariest seat. This ride proceeds to tip you so you think you're going to fly off the side of the 100 story building. The front seat actually goes past the end of the track so it's extremely scary!
The Final ride was the "Big Shot" which is like the Rocket ride at Lagoon, only you're 1,081" in the air at max height! I actually did enjoy this ride but if you could've seen the picture they took of us taking off, you would think differently! Priceless terror on my face! We would've got the picture but we weren't going to pay $16 for it!
Now we can say we survived the Stratosphere rides and we may even do it again next time only go at night instead!
After all that excitement we headed back to pack up the car and say our "see ya later"s.
We had such a great time and it was a much needed escape from our day to day routine! It's nice that we have family in town that can take care of our furry kiddo's while we're gone so we can actually go! Thanks Pascal and Suzanna
