DEMOLITION DERBY BABY!!!!

Nephi Demolition Derby 2013 was AWESOME!!!

There were some really awesome crashes that had everyone whooping and hollering!

This one in particular was great! The driver was pretty excited about it too cause he climbed to the top of his car to soak up the glory of his crash! We're just glad he didn't fall......!

Jes, Austen, and Hailey (cousin) had some seats up higher but the Derby commity reserved a box for ambulance/fire family so they got bumped up to 1st class seating in the front row! Gaby was down by the firefighters with me!

They had one bad crash that injured the driver. They ended up taking him to the hospital and I was told that he wasn't even sure what day it was! He ended up being okay though so that was great news!

This little cutie was up in the stands watching with her pretty momma and they came down to visit for a bit! These two are seriously so cute together! I love watching them play! Best Uncle ever (which is easy when you have the cutest niece ever!)! 

A couple trucks tipped over during the truck derby and the finale was awesome! No one held anything back! It was FANTASTIC!!!

Honestly, if derby's like this don't bring out the good ol' American red neck in you then, well, frankly I think you're lying! To quote Blake Shelton & Trace Adkins (country singers for my friends who are American music haters.... ;) !) "we've all got a hillbilly bone down deep inside, no matter where you're from you just can't hide it"! Yep, you know it's true! And I'm not ashamed of it at all! I love Derby's!!!



Cute little Visitor!

Suzanna and Berlin were passing through Nephi and stopped to visit me at work! She was too distracted by the stickers and markers to take a good picture but we tried! She's just too stinkin' cute!!! :)

Pew pew pew!!

We have a bit of a dove problem at our house. Well, not really that I've noticed but Marcel feels that they mock him with their presence because they are always hanging out until he has a means to get rid of them in a perminant way. So we borrowed an air gun from a pal and he attempted a little yard hunting today!

Sneek........aim.......SHOOT!........miss.......Dove flew away......dang.....

Girl Power!!

Today was a much needed Girl's Day! On the way to our destination, we saw this very appropriate license plate! Made me laugh!

We started out right by stuffing our faces filling up our bellies at Tucano's!

Then we did a TON of little shopping!!

In Blickenstaff's Toy Store there was the Creeeeeeapiest doll!! I have no idea what book, movie, or nightmare this thing came from but you can bet you won't ever find it at my house! Look! Even the cute little butterfly doll is terrified!!

There were also some cute kiddo watches and I just had to have a picture of the little Firefighter one! :)

We made a quick stop at Petsmart and this little treasure in the garbage made me giggle! "I do not like the cone of shame...."! (10 points if you can name the movie!!)

We ended the fun day out with some delicious Cold Stone Ice Cream!! Mmmmm!

I'd say that we had a pretty successful day!

I seriously love these girls! It's so fun that we can work together 5ish days a week and still have a good time together outside of the office! Can't wait for our next little away from work adventure! :) 

One year older and wiser too!

 Today marks Marcel being 1 year away from the big Three-Oh!!

We spent the day exactly how Marcel wanted to. In the mountains shooting our bows and practicing some real shooting situations in preperation for the upcoming Archery Hunt!

It was lots of fun and we had a couple people stop because I'm sure they thought they were witnessing us poaching! Or maybe they just wanted to watch our mad shooting skills!

After a while of doing that we took a motorcycle ride and picked up some yummy dinner at One Man Band!

It was a simple and relaxed day and Marcel claims he loved it! I did too!

Next year will be more eventful for sure!! ;)

Ceeeeeelebrate good times, COME ON!!!

Today we headed to Moroni for a joint birthday celebration for my mom and Marcel! I was in charge of baking the cake. I was feeling a bit ambitious and decided to make each of them they're own!

Marcel's was food colored vanilla cake with a cream cheese, whip cream, and twix candy center. The antlers and number were made with sprinkles and chocolate!

Not awesome aesthetically, but okay! Marcel liked it so that's what matters! Oh and it tasted good!

My mom's cake was also food colored vanilla cake with a cream cheese, whip cream, and snickers candy center. There is no end result picture of this one because....well it was a disaster and a bit embarrassing! I tried to make a butterfly out of chocolate (like the antlers) and it turned out looking like a kindergartner made it.....but it too tasted really good so that's what matters!

 My mom opened her gift first (isn't she B-E-A-Utiful?! You don't have to answer, I know you agree!),

 followed by this stud muffin!

 After gifts we had a delicious dinner! This picture makes my mouth water! SOOO good!

 This is where Toby sits while we're eating......seriously the silliest puppy!

 Then ended the evening playing games!

It was a really great day spent with great people! :)

Despicable Me 2!!!

I've been dying to go to this movie ALL MONTH and tonight we finally went!!

We were both excited to watch it! Okay, maybe I was a little more excited than Marcel.....!

This movie definitely did NOT disappoint!! We were laughing so hard throughout the whole thing! I'm pretty sure we enjoyed it more than the little kids that were there to see it! Can't wait for this to come out so we can watch it at home! Love those cute little minions!!
