La la la...!

Last night I was able to go and watch my little brother, Austen (who really isn't so little anymore :(), sing at his Middle School Choir concert. The songs were nice and they did very well at their pronunciation! I just love this guy, he's so talented! Plus, isn't he just so handsome?!

Little Bunny Foo-foo!

For Easter this year Marcel had convinced my family to go shed hunting with us. Well the morning we were to leave it was snowing really bad in Moroni so my dad called to let us know that they wouldn't be coming over. Marcel and I ended up sleeping in until around 10:30 and then got up and went for a little hike. Before we left I surprised him with an Easter basket filled with some fun things!

For our hike we didn't go very high and we weren't out very long so we didn't find anything, which was still a bummer. It's partly my fault we didn't go as high because my legs were already SO sore from my workouts and I had cramps so I was being a bit of a baby! Marcel is such a good sport for dealing with my moods!

After getting back home from the hike we went home, got ready, and headed to Moroni for some dinner and family time! I made some scrumptious little goodies to take along that I got from this site. They turned out pretty good, Marcel LoVeD them! They are very sweet so I couldn't even eat a whole one, but Marcel was more than happy to finish mine!

Dinner was delicious! Ham with funeral potatoes and salad! So good! For dessert we had the cake pops and some yummy cupcakes my mom made! We followed the food with watching the movie "Tron" which wasn't too bad. Marcel and I never really had the desire to watch it but we were pleasantly surprised with it! Then we headed home with our Easter goodies in tow (my parents gave us some fun Easter stuff and some candy!) to relax.

Shortly after we got home, Marcel got a text from his brother Pascal asking if we were both home and if they could stop by for a minute. When they walked in the door Pascal had they're camcorder in hand (not on yet) and Suzanna was holding a wrapped package. We didn't think too much of it but then they came in the living room, handed us the package and Pascal said they had to record our reaction when opening it! I had my suspicions, Marcel had no clue, but we opened it and it was a cute jar filled with pink and blue M&M's with a little note tied around it saying "You're going to be and aunt and uncle on about 11/22/11! Love, Pascal, Suzanna & Baby"!! We were SOOO excited! I can't believe I'm going to be an aunt! That feels so weird to say out loud because being the oldest in my family, I thought it would be a LONG time before I'd ever be able to say that! We are ecstatic for the two of them and it was so cute to see they're excitement! I can't wait for this little one to get here! It was the perfect ending to our Easter!

One year older and wiser too!

On 4/14/11 my sweet sister-in-law Suzanna took me out to dinner at the Denny's in Nephi for my birthday!

We haven't really had a chance to just hang out like that in a while so we had a lot to catch up on and had fun together. She's so awesome!

On the day of my birthday, 4/15/11, Marcel had some beautiful flowers delivered to me at work with his handwritten little note!

I love him so much! He felt so bad that he had to work, and I wasn't too happy about that either, but that's part of being a grown up I suppose. So since he was working I went out to dinner and shopping with Uli and Manuel! Getting to our meeting place was a little stressful because of lack of communication and understanding but once there we all had a good time! Cafe' Rio was Oh.So.Delicious! I haven't had it in so long because Marcel doesn't like it (but he likes the Fresh Mex place in town, go figure (: ) so my taste buds were in 'sweet pork burrito enchilada style' heaven! Seriously, so good! I'm so grateful that I have such awesome in-laws! They really are so great!

The following day I headed over to Moroni to have a little birthday celebration with my family. We had a lazy day and just spent time together watching movies and laughing! It was great! We had a yummy dinner and some tasty cake and ice cream! Good times! They spoiled me with some cute clothes, a pair of sandals, a bracelet and an awesome new purse! I really love those guys and love spending time with them!

On Tuesday (4/19/11) I worked just a half day and then Marcel and I headed North for a day out! We went to the Mall to exchange some of the clothes my parents got me, went to Petsmart, went to the little Japanese store (it's like a mini grocery store filled with Japanese food) to stock up on some yummy things, went to Walmart to get a cooler for the food and the Harry Potter 7 movie, and then headed to dinner at one of the best places to eat - Tucano's!! It was SO good but I ate way WAY too much! I was more full than I think I've ever been in my life, not even exaggerating! I almost lost it, which would've been a waist, but I pulled it together, breathed as best I could (which wasn't very well!) and was able to keep it down! We ended the night at home watching our new Harry Potter movie! It was a great day and I loved spending it with my awesome hubby! He's the best!

Talking in your sleep!

So before I go into this story I must enlighten you a bit. When Marcel is exhausted, he is almost guaranteed to sit up in the middle of the night and start talking in his sleep! Usually he turns to a corner of the room and calls to a dog (odd I know) or mumbles something inaudible! I usually just coax him to lay down and go back to sleep which doesn't take long and he never remembers it in the morning!

Well on this particular night he sat up and was looking frantically around the room and mumbled a question in a bit of a panic. Still waking up I didn't really understand him the first time so I said "What?" and he repeated "Where's the baby?". Now I was awake!

"Honey we don't have a baby!"

"Oh." He sat there for a second and then started patting the covers around him still looking.

"Toby's over here under the covers if that's what you're looking for."

"I know."

Silence

"Okay just go back to sleep!" I said laying back down chuckling.

He sat there for a little bit longer so I pulled on his shoulder and he finally layed down and went back to sleep. Interesting, eh?! When I told my mom this story she said "Perhaps his subconscious is trying to tell him something!", can you tell she's ready for us to have a baby! I just laughed and when I asked Marcel he didn't remember any of it! He said he remembers dreaming about puppies at one time but I know that if it's dog related he calls to them! That's happened a few times already! Who knows what he was dreaming about because he really doesn't remember! It was just a funny little event I wanted to remember!

Trip to Italy!

Yesterday I planned a fun date inspired by, you guessed it, the Dating Divas! While Marcel slept in to catch up on his rest I set up the invitation for him to see when he woke up

and then ran to the grocery store to get the supplies for the evening.

Skip ahead to that evening around dinner time! For the 'Italian Cuisine' we made Calzones. I had bought bread loaf dough to use, that I would later come to regret a bit, and toppings that include spaghetti sauce mixed with tomato paste to thicken it up, pepperoni, cheese, olives, mushrooms, green peppers, and then they were glazed in egg white and sprinkled with Italian Seasoning and Parmesan cheese! I really wish I would have taken a picture before we baked them because they were already pretty big but whilst in the oven they turned into... **Calzilla's**!

Marcel ate his entire Calzone (which he later regretted understandably so!) and I was able to force down half of mine! They were a bit intimidating but they were tasty and it was fun making them together!

For dessert we had Fruit Pizza! Now I know this isn't really Italian but 'pizza' IS Italian so technically it could be justified! Regardless, that's what we had and it was DeLiCiOuS!

While waiting for dinner to cook we tuned into some 'Renaissance Culture' by painting pictures of somewhere we'd like to go using water colors! We had fun getting in touch with our Kindergarten selves!!

We have "Angels & Demons" DVRed so I planned on us watching that for the 'Foreign Film' but neither of us was in the mood for that so we ended up watching "Ponyo" which I think is a Japanese film so that is still 'Foreign' (see, you can justify anything!)! It's a cute movie and had us laughing the whole time! It is a bit different but it's still good and I recommend it!

Overall our little trip to Italy was a good one! Perhaps one day we'll be able to go there for real....!
